Glimpses of India is the 7th Chapter from the Book First Flight Class 10th. We will analyze the 3 parts of this chapter from board examination point of view.
Glimpses of India comprises of three parts.

- Coorg from Lokesh Abrol
- Tea from Assam from Arup Kumar Dutta
Basic purpose of these parts is to aware students about the vast cultural and spiritual value of India. These parts are also important from examination point of view.
Theme
Glimpses from India comprises different chapters. Theme of A Baker from Goa is to depict the Portuguese heritage of Goa. How Impact of those ancient days are still prevailing in the ordinary lives of Konkani People is also a major theme.
In Coorg, We can witness the beauty, serenity, flora & fauna of the place. Its main theme is also to discuss the Greek heritage of Coorg and panoramic beauty of this place.
In Tea from Assam, major theme is a travelogue in this eastern state of India. This beautiful chapter discusses about the origin of Tea through 2 mythological stories.

Analysis
This is very interesting to understand that:
- In previous 4 years, there are 14 questions that came in the board examinations & only 3 questions were repeated in previous 4 years.
- Seven questions came from A Baker from Goa, Five Question came from Coorg and Two questions came from Tea from Assam. Hence A Baker from Goa is important from Board Examination point of view.
- Question 1, 10 & 11 were repeated only. Tea from Assam is important only for the legends about Tea. Hence a student must learn the 2 legends [Stories about origin of Tea] only for this chapter.
- There are few important terms in A Baker from Goa i.e. Paders, Kabai and Bol. Student must learn these terms, As you can, Question 3 and Question 7 answer is Kabai, the dress worn by paders [Baker]
- Coorg is a chapter that needs complete study for Examinations. The main reason is that questions came from different parts of the chapter. But natural wealth and impact of Alexander on the genetics of Kodavu people is a must learn part.
- A Baker from Goa is also an important chapter from comprehension point of view. Except 2018, comprehension has come in 2017, 2019 & 2020.
- Legends about the origin of Tea is again an important part of the chapter from comprehension point of view. In 2017 & 2018, Parts dealing with these legends appear in examinations.
