Elections in West Bengal has just been ended. But suddenly news erupted everywhere on Bengal violence against BJP workers by so called TMC Goons. Is West Bengal really burning? We will analyze this issue.

Reports are coming that TMC workers burnt the BJP head office at Arambagh. BJP IT Cell head Mr. Amit Malviya shared a video of that incident on his twitter handle. He later posted many such incidents in Bengal. After Mamata Banerjee lost the seat at Nandigram, the same Amit Malviya questioned Mamata, “On what morality she have to retain her chief ministership”?

BJP accused TMC for promoting violence against its workers before polls also. Indeed no official statement on such incidents is released yet by TMC. Mamata Banerjee will sworn as chief minister of the state on 05th May 2021.

Is West Bengal really burning?

Apart from these statements, a woman was seen being beaten up by men in the street. According to reports, 11 people have lost their lives in post poll violence in West Bengal. Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India seek report from the state government.

Social media is now new age media and there are images of women being beaten up by so-called Bangladeshi people. This will make the whole incident a matter of Hindi-Muslim clashes. Political analyst suggests that new tenure of Mamata Banerjee will be full of challenges. She has to counter the rising power of BJP cadre in the state & there is no doubt – such images will be used in the next elections by the BJP. [Disclaimer: Mridultulika is not claiming any truth in such clips]

Such violence is considered as a trailer for a movie in the upcoming 5 years under TMC reign in the state. Social media is accusing this violence triggered by Mamata Banerjee itself. There is a demand of President Rule in the state. This is an unprecedented behavior seen on social media.

As soon as DMK won the elections in Tamil Nadu, there was a trending hashtag in twitter i.e. #ResignStalin. He has not even sworn-in as chief minister of the state. These trends said something unusual also. Violence cannot be justified at any cost. Those responsible in causing violence in West Bengal should be punished under the ambit of law. But how can someone justify the twitter trend related to Stalin?

Political analysts suggests that such perception showed some parties have less patience accepting the electoral defeat. Whether Maharashtra, Goa, Madhya Pradesh or Karnataka, nation has seen the behavior of Bharatiya Janta Party. They were also accused to destabilize the government of their political opponents.

Some other political commentator firmly believe that BJP is the only party that has the guts to start the ground level work for next election with immediate effect. Through media & social media trolls, these pictures of violence will become viral in coming days.

Conclusion

Media reports and center government intervention seeking clarification from state government into this matter is worth enough to prove the violence in West Bengal. It is a matter of inquiry by the state government to find the real cause of such incidents if claimed true by various social media handle.
